HARMONY STELLA GUITAR SERIAL NUMBERS SERIES
Stella, Stella guitars were produced by the Oscar Schmidt Instrument Company in Jersey City. Harmony Standard Series guitar built in 2019. On the first top brace, just visible through the sound-hole, are some ink-stamped numbers: 3 (maybe 2), a gap, then B (could be 0) 612 (could be 3), S (could be 9). At the time the company had two other brands La Scala, and Sovereign, with Sovereign being their top-of-the-line. The sound of a modern x-braced guitar is far away from the guitar sound you can hear on many Pre-WW II era blues recordings. The company created the Stella brand in 1899 as low cost and mid level guitars.
